I wanted to make a simple motor for testing with 3 coils and the battery swapping circuit. I have down loaded the Daffmans diagrams and have built the charging circuit and a school girl circuit.
my questions are simple? 1.I assume that in a 3 coil motor each coil needs to have a school girl circuit to run the motor? is this correct?? 2. can one school girl circuit run all 3 drive coils?
1A. Does any one have the wiring diagram for hooking up 3 drive coils off the school girl circuit? 2A. how does this all hook up to the charging swap over circuit?
I want to test this way of running the motors for a base reference. I use a different control system for my motor and I want to try this School girl way to see the results.
If some one can send the diagrams that would be a great help.
Thank you vesperhbt.

hey vesperhbt i dont know if this is what you want, but it shows how to hook up three different coils together..however they are trifilar coils and each coil set up has its own circuit...well anyways this is what i plan on making on my college brake, here is the site where i found it, there are some good animations too...

Great thank you I have seen this site and looked it over some time ago, I see the circuit that you are referencing to. good information.

any time vesperhbt, this is what i plan on building also but instead of the reed switches i would like to use the 555 timer set up. if you get it working i would like to see how it turns out..

That would be my pleasure I'm redesigning my timer circuit right now so that it has a much quicker response time I will use a 556 timer the 555 works well too I use a duel pulse system to each power coil with reset triggering by the following coil. It is very fast and hard to get the timing correct but worth the time since once it is set it does not change.
I'm designing the circuit now for board production for easy assembly. Once I have it complete I will video and make the set out available to every one.
I am also working on a quad timer for 4 coils in one circuit but having a bit of a time getting it to work correct.

yes very nice, please do post it, i am saving up my money so i can buy everything that i plan to build using this system, there will be a low input high output alternator---a performance alternator from a street car, i am also going to make a type of alternator, and i plan to use three trifilar coils in this set up. also everything will be gear trained. i am very interested in seeing how your set up ends up working. good luck with everything

Well I just have to finish designing it in AutoCad then I can start the process of building. So in about a week or two I should have everything designed and all the tolerances in place for the newest motor design.
I am working all the bugs out in 3D before I waste to much time and money on design changes.
I hope to see your motor soon as well good luck with it and have fun.

Any one want to take a stab at the hooking up of the battery swapping circuit to the schoolgirl circuit by the Daftman? Who has a complete drawing on this and wants to share?
