I needed a little Pulse motor for testing instead of shuttling my PIC micro controlers from the gararge to my PC to be re-programed every 5 mins...
I rememberd pulling something quite nice from a dead iomega jaz drive that i stripped for parts...
At the time, i couldn't get it to fire a standard bedini circuit so i shelved it...

I decided my PIC PM controll system is sensitive enough to pulse on 0.01V input...

So here it is...

And here is the coils...

Nice, eh...
6 coils in total...
on the jazz drive their was a steel plate behind all the coils, so i mixed up some iron filing and a couple of drops of PVA glue and packed it to the middle of the coils...

She spins very nicely on 5 volts... on 14 volts she SCREAMS! and draws 300mA... However, i havn't alterd the tune setting, it's still using the ones for my large pulse motor...

I stuck my large multimeter on the coil that i'm using as a trigger coil and it's only registering 1.1V AC (at full speed) which would be why a standard bedini circuit wouldn't pulse...

so, it has 6 single coils, so i'm going to use them in opposite pairs...
my PMCS (Pulse Motor Control System) is designed to run two bifilar drive coils, so I'm going to run two drive coils and do some experiments on using the back emf from the two drive coils to drive a third pair...

It also means i can do experiments on using a switching system to prevent a gen coil producing a lenz field...

And for those that want to know... I'm using an IRF830 FET thats bolted to that heatsink, and i don't need to do anything with the BEMF because the IRF830 can handle upto 500V befor it breaks down, so i don't need a neon!
I've got a C3150 power transister that can handle 800volts...

I'm guessing this thing is running about 1,000 rpm just on 5 volts, i don't actually know yet till i build the second processor...
