can a standard car altenators bearing handle a direct bolt on propeller and how long will they last?

bearing will handle it depending on how much thrust load (pushing the shaft back) you place on the prop coz the bearings are not designed for thrust forces...

now, i know what your thinking... wind turbine yes? unless you modify an alternator you'll need about 500RPM to get it to generate...
