I just finished my first newman motor small just 60 wraps of magnetic wire around a 3 inch pvc pipe. I just started on making a bendini circuit to run the motor (thanks to Daftman for the picture). i have a few questions about it.

1. the 100 ohms resistor how many volts does it need to be ?

2. the diode in4007 can you use a in4005 in its place ?

3. the 1k pot couldnt find one local that size but got a 5k what effect will that have and can i still use it ?

4. i have seen vidoes of people getting dc voltage and ac voltage does that depend on direction the wrapped coil or putting a second wrap on the coil ?

thank you for any help or addvice you can give.

The Motor is working good news there but doesnt work with my circuit.
so today i will try to find out why and try to fix. still think it has to do with the pot being 5k but not sure any ideals?
