Hello everyone... started my long journey of building what i hope is going to be a pretty impressive device. i ordered all my wire and electrical components today...took me awhile to save the money cause im at college and all.. but finally got enough to order them. it will be a trifilar coil with three separate coils around the rotor. the rotor will be on a shaft connected to two generators that i am going to build and an alternator which will be low input high output alternator like those you find in high performance car audio systems. in the long run i hope to create a device that will produce enough power not only to power itself but other appliances also. i plan to set the circuit up just like a normal bedini circuit but have it pulse a few caps and charge a charging battery also. the circuit will consist of a timer that will turn the circuit off once all the caps are charged and then the caps will charge the run battery while the circuit is off, the rotor will continue to spin due to momentum and the circuit will only be off for a few seconds. i dont know why i want to do this but i dreamed about a circuit that did this one night so i figured what the heck, lets give it a try and see how it works out. however i am stuck on one thing so far and i hope someone here can help me out. i need the rotor, the shaft, the generators and the alternator all to spin at the same time in the same direction. in order to do this i need the shaft to spin whenever the rotor for my motor spins. this is my #1 problem right now because for all my other devices i built in the past, i never needed a shaft to spin, only the rotor. i have no idea on how to make the shaft spin...it will be much appreciated if someone can shed some light on how to make the shaft spin with the rotor for the motor. the rotor will be of non magnetic material (of course) and have three to four magnets on it. i am not sure on the size of the rotor for this but its looking to be a smaller one like a small 3 year old's bike tire in diameter. the only idea that seems to plausible right now is to connect the rotor and everything else with wood built into each device on the sides, but this will cause a lot of unnecessary weight... thank you for your help and thank you everyone for the motivation that caused me to want to build these devices and research on them. as i gather my materials and start my building i will be updating frequently with pictures and progress.

hey comwarrior, when you say lenz, i believe you are talking about lenz's law....i found this video on youtube giving a demonstration of lenz's law in affect and it is very interesting. i dont know how to put a video in my reply so here is the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHCwgc_xs3s this demonstration shows that while the circuit is open the coil is able to move fast and freely past the magnet, but when the circuit is closed it moves very slow past the magnets because of lenz's law. now from what i understand from viewing this is that lenz's law is in affect when there is a closed (working) circuit, and when the circuit is open (not working) lenz's law is not in affect. the setup that i want to do will charge the run battery by pulsing the caps while the entire motor running circuit is off... i dont know if this will work but i haven't heard of anyone trying this yet so im going to give it a try and see how it goes.

@ cass... whatever u r thinking 2 build it doesnt matter what any1 say...as long as u believe in urself...:) and use ur knowledge 100 percent...thats is always better than knowing alot but doing nothing or not much with it...
i say go 4 it m8...:))

thank you for the support and help everyone... i was wondering if someone could help me out on one part of the build so far. i need to make my rotor and the shaft spin in the same direction and at the same time... therefore whenever the rotor spins the shaft will spin causing the rest of my device to work the way planned. but the thing is, is that i do not know how to make this work properly..if i put bearings in the rotor and put the shaft through the bearings, the rotor will spin and the shaft will stay stationary - which is bad. how would i make the shaft and rotor one unit? any help and insight would be greatly appreciated.

thank you so much for your help..
the only idea i came up with that would work for my type of setup would cause a lot of excess weight so i am trying to find new ideas on how to configure it

ahh, good, a single word causes someone to go look up what they don't know... hmmm, less is more...
i'm dubious about using pullsed mode to draw power... i think you'll still get lenz in proportion to the power you draw...
take a look at my vids on utube (link to my channel is below) I use exactly the same system as you are trying to build... you GLUE the rotor to the shaft and use bearings between the shaft and some vertical posts...

hey comwarrior, ive seen your vids and the work you do is very good, some of it actually made me think of some ideas that came into play when i planned to build this. but as far as the glue goes i dont think it will be secure enough for my setup, the other option instead of gluing that comes into mind is spot welding a locking bearing to my shaft

just a quick update to let people know where i currently am... i got all the wood for the base of my system that i will be building a platform out of. i also got all the wire for my coils and all the electrical components..so this weekend i will be spending most of the time winding up my 27 coils if all goes well....24 coils will be for my generating system and 3 for my circuit that will drive my rotor.

Cass,,,Sounds like a plan If you were close to me I would let you use my coil mechine to spin up all your coils. 27 coils in about 2 hours or so. But I live in Utah a distance from you.
I wish you all the luck If you need any help I will sure do my best to help you out. just email me or post

Cass also see my design for a cheep coil mechine at my post " Coil mechine parts and how too's" I updated this today for you to referance easy just click on your active topics and it should be there for you.
Hope it helps

thank you vesperhbt, i have been looking at your post since you started it, a coil spinning machine would be an amazing help in doing all this coil spinning lol. but yes Utah is quite a ways away from Mass. but good luck to your design i am sure we will both find some very interesting results

Yes I had posted the simplest coil winding machine I could that preformed well and that would last with minimal cost. So if you do build the design I posted I hope it works well and post your model on the posting.
Tomorrow I will be making a video on how to make the bobbin since I have had 50+ emails asking to make a video on this.
I just don't know how to post photos or video here so that is a draw back.

oh and just an added fact if anyone is wondering how to paste videos and pictures on an already topic that people are discussing...
simply right above the space where you write a reply, you should a set of links labeled, New Topic, Reply to Topic, Subscribe to this Topic, Send Topic to a Friend, and Printer Friendly...
if you want to get to the screen that theDaftman was at simply just click on "Reply to Topic" and it will take you there.
once again thank you for that video it was extremely helpful in how to post pictures and videos
